Hotel Alhambra

The Alhambra is located in the hotel zone of Port El Kantaoui, 0.5 mile away north of the city. For the transfer from Monastir airport (located 14 miles away), allow for a 20 minute ride.

The Alhambra is located on the same land as the Diar El Andalous hotel: access to the beach is therefore done by crossing the gardens of the Diar El Andalous. But the Alhambra is also one of the rare Tunisian clubs that accept to take care of 6 month old babies: since the number of places is limited, you must imperatively make a reservation at the moment of your booking.

Built in 1981 and renovated in 1998, the Alhambra is made of a series of two-story buildings gathered around flowery patios. These buildings have a total of 195 rooms. The Arabic-Adalucian architecture of the complex is particularly nice. The relaxation areas are laid out around a 1,290 square feet swimming pool. They are vast, shaded and well-equipped (deckchairs and sunshades).

The rooms are furnished with good taste: wrought iron bed in an alcove, lounge area, and pastel decoration. All rooms have a balcony or a terrace, and view of the garden. They are equipped with a bathroom featuring a bathtub or a shower, telephone and air conditioning.

Meals are served buffet style in a large room with a nice setting. Two stands for "show-cooking" function for breakfast and dinner: the cooks prepare there various grilled foods on request. The buffets propose a wide choice of international and Tunisian specialties (around ten first courses, hot dishes and desserts). A section of the buffet is reserved for children with a menu prepared especially for them.

The Alhambra is located 984 feet away from the beach. You can access it from a well traced path crossing the gardens of the Diar El Andalous. The beach is nice and well equipped. It has sunshades and deckchairs. An neighbouring nautical base allows you to practice sailing, windsurfing, pedalo, banana, jet ski, waterski, and parasailing.
