Hotel Pernera Beach

The hotel is located on the oceanfront, at the city limit of Pernera. This is an extension of the summer resort of Protaras (centre located 1.5 miles away to the south) where the intensive and mostly seasonal tourism has imposed itself. Paralimi, a small city located 2 miles away, offers more traditional charms. Ayia Napa, the biggest seaside resort of the south-eastern coast, famous for its nightlife, is 5 miles away when going along the coast by the Graiko Cape. To reach the hotel from Larnaca airport (30 miles away), allow a 50-minute drive.

The beautiful Fig Trees Bay beach is located about 4 miles south of the hotel, at the exit of Protaras. A club for kids aged 4 to 12 takes care of your children from 10.00am to 12.00pm and from 3.00pm to 5.00pm. Most of the clients are individuals (English, then German). There are lots of families and couples that come here on a regular basis. The animation team speaks English, french, German and Italian. The only centre of interest in Pernera are its shops (open from April to October). In the evenings, you can see dancing shows, musical comedies, live music, skits.

Built in 1978, the Pernera Beach hotel offers a total of 191 rooms, housed on 4 levels. The hotel went through a serious reniovation in 2002, but the hotel has been improved every year: It is open from April to November. Its façade is large and massive. The interior and exterior decorations are fancy. With an impressively high ceiling, the care given to the curtains or armchairs, the large marble hallway offers you a nice welcome. Outside, the large pool of 3,700 square feet, the smaller one for kids, 64 square feet. An indoor pool of 344 square feet is only used in March, April and November. Large lawn areas, surrounded by a few coppice trees, allow you to suntan in the most peaceful atmosphere. As for sports and leisure, the services offered are numerous and new. Note: there is a modern fittness room and a large choice of water sports. The animation team assures group games without disturbing the tranquility of other guests. Note: there is a large choice of games in the room that is alloted to them.

The Pernera Beach offers a total of 191 rooms including 24 superior rooms and 4 rooms for families. You will get to your rooms through large and bright corridors. Small inconvenience: the stains on the faded carpet. Large and comfortable, almost all the rooms overlook the pool and the sea. The decor is harmonious - blend of the blue of the carpet, armchairs and other things, with the light-coloured wood headboards and varnished rattan furniture. All rooms are equipped with a large screen satellite TV (10 channels), a direct telephone line, a safe (for a fee), adjustable air-conditioning, a mini-bar, a large fitted out balcony and a bathroom with a bathtub or shower, hair-dryer, soap. Room service is available from 9.00am until 1.00am.

Meals are generous and served buffet-style, locally and internationally inspired, in a large room opening towards the gardens, with large bay windows and exotic furniture (bamboo chairs, green plants). From 7.00pm to 10.00pm, thematic evenings are proposed with different dishes (barbecue, Italian, American, Greek, French...). Breakfast is taken from 6.45am to 10.00am, lunch from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. Overlooking the sea, the ''Kamares'' tavern allows you to order à la carte traditional Cypriot dishes, and also the beach bar. There is also a bar by the pool.

The hotel overlooks a golden sandy beach surrounded by small rocks. Beach sandals are recommended in this supervised area. The water is clear. The panorama is rather nice, but quite flat. Some may find the vicinity disturbed by the other hotels. The plastic deckchairs and sunshades are paying. Wide choice of water activities. The tavern surrounded by shrubs is a very nice place to stay.
