Hotel Bavaro Princess

Located in Punta Cana, the tourist epicentre in the country with its 25 miles of beaches, encircled by the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, on the southwest coast of the Dominican Republic, the Bavaro Princess hotel is situated on the Bavaro beach, 1 mile from Plaza Bavaro (the new town centre offers really nothing authentic), 37 miles from the bustling town of Higuey (within 1 hour) and a three hour and a half drive from Santo Domingo, the capital town of the Dominican Republic. Punta Cana airport is 15.5 miles from the hotel (20 minutes).

The Bavaro Princess is clearly one of the best hotels in Punta Cana. This large resort is distinguishable from the others by its pleasant appearance, the refinement of its decoration, its size and its incredible ecological garden. Given the quality of the services and accommodation, Latin customers love it. There is nothing to say for those who love large facilities, even though the Punta Cana hotel has reduced the Dominican lifestyle to simplest expression.

This resort, built in 1992, has a real asset: it includes 768 rooms, more than 1,600 beds... and yet it exudes Olympian serenity. Where are the clients? It is the question asked by all hotel guests. Of course, the secret: a great area (100 acres), 83 cottages, each with 8 rooms, a building of 82 rooms, 7 restaurants scattered throughout the park, 3 swimming pools... in brief, space! The big plus of the hotel is its ecological garden, its mangroves, its 200 different species of plants, peacocks and flamingos. The disadvantage: you have to take the little train because the distances are long.

The rooms of the Bavaro Princes are all junior suites! Original, tastefully decorated in wood, they are very spacious (645 ft²) and provide all necessary comfort: air conditioning, a tropical fan, satellite TV, a fridge-bar included in the service, a marble bathroom with a bathtub, a hair dryer, a safe and a terrace. The rooms on the waterfront are exceptional.

The seven restaurants, semi-open or air-conditioned, offer a high quality cuisine. Especially the Chopin, where a classical orchestra plays to the delight of romantic couples, and the Licey, the resort's gourmet restaurant. The buffet, the snack bar, the Italian and the seafood restaurants also serve very tasty dishes. The advantage: you will never get tired.

The beach of the Bavaro Princess hotel, namely Bavaro playa, is the most famous in Punta Cana. With its transparent waters and white sand, it is difficult not to be seduced! The beach extends far beyond the horizon, although it does not belong only to the hotel - all neighbouring resorts share this beach. The only problem: the nagging noise of the boat engines, which fly by on the waves all day. The beach of the Bavaro Princess hotel provides many deckchairs and houses the water sports centre, which offers a wide range of activities.
