Hotel Grand Paradise Bavaro

Located in Punta Cana, the touristy epicentre in the country with its 25 miles of beach, between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, on the southwest coast of the Dominican Republic, the hotel Grand Paradise is on the Bavaro beach, some 30 miles away from the bustling town of Higueÿ ( within 45 minutes ) and 125 miles away from Santo Domingo, the capital town of the Dominican Republic. Punta Cana airport is 13 miles from the hotel (15 minutes).

Set along a beach bordered by splendid coconut trees, the Grand Paradise is characterised by its proximity to the casino of Sol de Plata and its sports bar open 24h/7. The theatre, which stages a show every night, is not close to the rooms. As for the noise, it is noticeable. Well equipped, lively and friendly, the hotel club offers many sporting activities. It's a perfect place to stay for those who want to enjoy the pleasures of a seaside resort.

Located in the heart of a beautiful tropical garden with water features, this hotel, built in 2002, consists of sixteen two-storey buildings housing a total of 504 rooms and has a maximum capacity of 1400 people. The buildings, arranged in a semi-circle around two big swimming pools, offer a structural set. So, you won't lose a second. It is a pity that the paint on the façades is a little garish, specially electric blue, somewhat aggressive to the eye ! The staff is friendly and welcoming.

The rooms of the Grand Paradise are spacious ( about 30 m² ) offering all due comforts. Each room has air conditioning, satellite television ( 37 channels, including HBO ), a fridge-bar filled upon request ( 2 Coke, 2 Seven up, 1 litre of mineral water ), a bathroom with a bathtub, a hair dryer, an iron, a safe and finally a small furnished terrace. No room-service.

Three a la carte restaurants ( steakhouse, Chinese, Italian ), a buffet restaurant ( air-conditioned ) and a snack bar allow you to taste a variety of culinary delights. Long terraces connect the restaurants All the desserts and Viennese pastries are homemade. Four bars are located on the beach, the swimming pool, the restaurants and the tennis courts ( the sports bar is open 24h/7 ) and are offered as part of the all inclusive package.

The beach of the Grand Paradise Bavaro is Playa Bavaro, one of the most famous beaches in Punta Cana. With its translusent water and white sand, it is difficult not to be seduced ! The beach extends far beyond the horizon, although it does not belong only to the hotel ; the neighbouring resorts share this beach. The beach, equipped with deckchairs ( with cushions ), is located along the hotel, just behind the swimming pools, separated only by a splendid coconut plantation.
