Hotel Atrium Palace

On the eastern coast of the island, at Kalathos, the hotel is located 25 miles from Rhodes international airport (usually it takes an hour by car) and 4 miles from the picturesque village of Lindos, 10 minutes away by car.
With its white houses nestled on the hill slopes, Lindos, an important maritime city in the past, is considered - as are the neighbouring regions of Kalathos, Vlicha, Pefkos, Pilona and Lardos - to be one of the most beautiful locations on the island, offering the combined advantage of natural beauty and cultural heritage. When you walk through its paved streets, you can admire the modest beauty of the traditional architecture and then, passing through a true labyrinth, you will arrive at the Acropolis of Lindos. From up there, you can see the wide horizon, the golden beaches and the sun shining down into the waters of the Aegean Sea.

The restaurant services and especially the huge spa centre are the best advantages of this high-end, well-equipped hotel. Half or full board are offered, at the client's discretion.

Built in 1992 and extended with a new building in 2003, the hotel is noticeable from the road that leads to the very pretty village of Lindos. The main building, rising on three floors (with 2 elevators), presents a gorgeous view across the hills onto the bay of Kalathos. The two annexes are adjacent, one with three floors (and 2 elevators) and the other with two floors, but with no elevator. In the spacious, green, blossoming gardens that lead to the beach, there are an additional 19 villas, with private gardens and swimming pools... Of course, at a price. As a whole, the hotel is well maintained. The decoration, with beautiful marble flooring, is modest but quite effective. A pleasant, large swimming pool is nestled between the vaultings where there are delightful water fountains.

The hotel has 241 standard rooms, each with a large area (more than 215 ft²), 31 junior suites, 24 suites and 5 suites of superior category, housed in three buildings. In addition, there are 19 villas (each with an area from 540 to 1,615 ft²!), for a total of 320 rooms in total in this hotel. The rooms have a view onto the sea (extra payment for the villas) or the garden. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning (operating from May to October), satellite TV, a mini-bar with a kit for making tea / coffee, direct dial telephone for calls abroad, a balcony or a terrace, a safe (extra charge) and a bathroom with a bathtub, large mirror and hair dryer. The rooms are clean and decorated essentially in dark wood, up to the ceiling. Unfortunately, the terraces of the rooms in the two-storey building overlook the opposite building.

Without doubt the highlight of the Atrium Palace: four well-appointed restaurants, two bars... The choice and the quality are here. The restaurant at the poolside, "Poseidon", serves lunch à la carte in low season and becomes a buffet from June to August. The food it serves is high quality (Greek specialties). You can also dine at the Symposium, which serves breakfast (international food), and the gourmet restaurant, Asterias, which operates a la carte for lunch and dinner (until midnight). Greek cuisine and fish dishes are on the menu. Note that vegetarian dishes are offered every day. Thematic nights are organised three times a week.

A huge beach is situated just 5 or 15 minutes from your room, depending on whether you are staying in the hotel main building or in a villa (closest to the sea). The sand is dotted with stones that make walking barefoot difficult. But wooden pontoons allow easier access to the sunshades and the deckchairs (extra charge). Lovers of peace and tranquillity will be satisfied. No sports activity on the horizon! The water is normal, as is the depth of the water.
