Hotel Rosamar

The Rosamar stands on a quiet street in the Santa Margarita district, 150m from the beach and around twenty minutes from the centre.

Couples staying here for three nights are given a complimentary bottle of Cava (the Catalan equivalent of Champagne).

This primarily family-oriented hotel was built 22 years ago and was entirely renovated in 2007. It has a total of 56 guest rooms and can accommodate up to 130 people. The facilities here are pretty basic and include a restaurant, a large outdoor terrace and some very pleasant gardens with a small swimming pool. The hotel's location on a quiet little street means that you can enjoy peaceful, serene surroundings around the pool area, and there are also various outdoor games for the little ones. This part of the hotel is entirely closed-off so you don't have to worry too much about keeping an eye on the children playing. Wi-Fi access is free throughout the hotel.

The guest rooms here have a floor area of 15m2 and feature rather basic decor, including white duvets, light wooden headboards (the only things that really stand out), and few personal touches. All rooms are furnished with a bedside table, a wardrobe and a comfortable leather armchair whilst the basic but impeccable bathrooms come with a bathtub and a soap dispenser. They also all open out on to a beautiful, large terrace and have air-conditioning. You'll find the services here are of a high quality, particularly for a two-star hotel.

Breakfast is served from 8:00am to 10:00am and consists of a fairly comprehensive buffet. Lunch and dinner, meanwhile, consist of a selection of dishes prepared by chef Francisco Escobar and which are also available through room service. The dishes on offer are primarily Mediterranean, with a few traditional Catalan dishes thrown in as well. The restaurant has a very good reputation and its renowned chef attracts many non-residents to dine here. Lunch is served from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and dinner from 7:30pm to 10:30pm.
