Hotel Club Med La Caravelle

The Club Med Caravelle is in the village of Sainte-Anne, a 10 minute walk from shops. It is opposite the beautiful beach of La Caravelle in a vast tropical park.
Pointe-à-Pitre airport is 30 minutes by car.

La Caravelle is a Club Med renowned for watersports and relaxation. In 2007, the chain hotel was entirely renovated and increased its ranking from 3 to 4 tridents.

You get to the reception via a real botanic garden; signs indicate the names of the trees that are planted throughout the alleys. The hotel is situated on a peninsula bordered by beaches where there are several buildings and activities. The two-storey houses containing the rooms and their basic architecture belie the prettiness of the rooms. On the other hand, the mini-club and the restaurants are housed in beautiful buildings in Caribbean style. Gym lessons in a small wooden hut, shows and activities in an amphitheatre, flying trapeze in a space worthy of a circus school, tennis courts, petanque, football, volleyball, archery, fitness room - it is all here!

Pretty corridors in natural colours and zen lighting lead to three types of room: 37 very spacious suites with a living room and a bedroom with expresso machine, minibar, large bathroom and balcony for absolute comfort, 78 deluxe quite large suites with balcony, and 184 standard rooms. The latter have lovely decor in bright colours, dark wood, paintings showing water drops on blown-up images of leaves: a real encounter with nature.
The entrance has two cupboards and a sideboard with cafetiere and fridge. On the other side, toilets and bathroom, separate. The bathroom has a shower, some beauty products and a hairdryer. In a very nice room, without balcony, a small bench, a small desk in dark wood and a flat screen television on a stand. On the bedside table there is an alarm clock CD player so you can start the day with music.

Two restaurants including one buffet, serving varied and fine food. Several types of homemade bread, unlimited drinks (wine and beer) and dishes to suit all tastes. In the morning, fresh orange juice is available provided you squeeze it yourself. The second restaurant, which is further away and has a large terrace, serves late brunch buffets and dinner, by reservation, with table service.
There are three bars: one large behind the pool serving all types of drinks, another on the beach in a little shack serving drinks and snacks, and the third is in the disco should you need to quench your thirst during a hard evening's dancing.

Definitely among the most beautiful in Guadeloupe, at least as seen by the town-dwellers who flock to the Caribbean. White and fine sand, coconut trees, clear warm water, space. It is the public beach of La Caravelle, part of which has been designed by the Club (loungers, pontoon, bar and restaurant).
On the windy beach there are surfboards, while a long beach sheltered from the wind has loungers, parasols, and other watersports (canoe, sailing, jet skiing and diving)
