Well locatedThe Sol Victoria Marina is an upscale hotel that benefits from a privileged access to a private pontoon in All Saints bay. Simultaneously, it is located at a reasonable distance from the Pelourinho (historic centre). This is a good choice for those who wish to enjoy all aspects of Salvador.

Located in the city centre, on Avenida Sete de Setembro. The airport is 30 miles away. Count 40 minutes for transfers by taxi.
The Sol Victoria Marina owns a private cable-car accessing the marina located below the hotel. This marina includes a solarium on stilts. Since space is limited, deckchairs are lined up in a row. For more privacy, prefer the terrace of the panoramic swimming pool. Also, be aware of the fact that sailing boats leave from the marina for excursions into All Saints bay.
In addition, the Sol Victoria Marina is in the immediate vicinity of Campo Grande, where the carnival most important parades pass by. This hotel is a good choice, not only during the carnival, but also during the rest of the year, because most sites and points of interest of Salvador are not far from the hotel.
Built in 1992 and renovated in 2005, the Sol Victoria Marina is located in a modern building with a concrete façade. It is not very attractive. However, it is located in a more pleasant place: bordering the Bahia "Champs Elysées", the hotel overlooks All Saints bay. The lobby is spacious, decorated in marble, but the ceiling is a bit low. As a result, the lobby is quite dark. Those who want to enjoy a beautiful view can go to the swimming pool overhanging the Atlantic Ocean. With a surface of 1,076 feet², the swimming pool is not fitted for lap swimming, but its solarium, equipped with deckchairs and patio furniture is ideal for suntanning. Those who enjoy a lively evening can also go to the hotel nightclub.
Half of the 235 rooms of the Sol Victoria Marina overlook the sea; the remaining rooms overlook the city. However, none of the rooms has a balcony. The rooms are medium-sized (301 feet²) and furnished in a basic, contemporary, and functional style. Air conditioning, mini-bar, satellite television, and direct telephone are available. The bathrooms, however, are rather small. Note: the hotel offers 15 rooms specially fitted for handicapped persons.
In addition, the Sol Victoria Marina offers 5 suites. Suites are much more spacious than standard rooms, and have a more refined decor with marble floors, rugs, lacquered wood table, and pedestal table with carved feet.
The hotel offers two restaurants. The first restaurant serves international cuisine: pasta, grilled meat, fish are offered à la carte, together with Salvador specialities prepared with palm oil. The second restaurant serves Thai cuisine: seafood and coconut milk dishes, more or less spicy depending on guests' preferences, are delightful. Breakfast is served buffet-style and offers a large variety of fresh fruits, rolls, brioches, scrambled eggs, yoghurts, and cereals! Enough to please the most starving guests! Note: the breakfast room overlooks the swimming pool, with All Saints bay in the background. It is a delightful setting.
