NatureBuilt on a natural site well away from all the traffic, the Framissima Cala Blanca is an ideal destination for sport lovers or if you want to relax with your family. One of our definite favorites.
On the verge of the Cala Blanca Figueral, northeast of Ibiza, 15 miles from the capital, Eivissa, and 6 miles from the summer resort of Santa Eulalia. The hotel is located 2 miles from the village of San Carlos and 22 miles from the airport, about 30 minutes driving.
The Cala Verde and Cala Blana clubs share the same site on the beautiful beach of Figueral. Well away from agitation, these two establishments belong to the Invisa Hoteles companie, and are open from 13th May to 14th October. They are connected to the summer resort of Santa Eulalia by a free shuttle that runs many times a day ( from 9.45am to 7.00pm). Since the summer 2006, the Cala Blanca also offers a covered pool with a jacuzzi (paying) and a disco. The kids will have fun in the mini-park, a space of 54,000 square feet shared with nearby Cala Verde. You can withdraw money from the ATM machine located in the hallway of the hotel. Because of the non-central location of the hotel we recommend you to rent a car if you want to explore all the prosperities of this endearing Island. On Tuesday nights, a bus serves the capital, Eivissa, with a departure at 9.10pm and a return at 00.30am for a charge of ?8.90 (£7). On Wednesday evenings, a bus will leave you at the famous nocturnal market of Dalias at 9.10pm, and will pick you up again at 11.15pm for a fee of ?4 (£3).
Lodging advice:
The clients of Fram are housed in the Sa Caleta building, the most beautiful and peaceful, and offering the best view.
Built in 1977 and renovated in 2006, the Framissima Cala Blanca consists of 12 two-storey and four-storey buildings housing 320 rooms of which 112 are for the clients of the Framissima, surrounded by a large pine wood where you will be delighted by a delicious smell of pine trees. This establishment can accommodate up to 1,300 people and has been well-planned by the architects that conceived it; the buildings are integrated into the environment (a well-maintained tropical garden) and there are two outdoor pools. Located close to the restaurant and to the beach, the first one is where the animation activities take place. A second one, in a more calm area, is located close to the rooms. The access to the beach is over a slight slope. Open from 9.00am to 7.00pm, the pools are 74 inches deep. Deckchairs, sunshades and showers are available but do not forget to bring your own towel. An indoor heated pool with a jacuzzi with a removable roof is also available. Each one of the three pools offers an adjoining pool for kids. Families can also enjoy a large mini-club for kids aged 4 to 8 years and a teenager club for those aged 8 to 12 years. A little thrown off centre, it is located close to the Cala Verde, next to the multi-sport ground. The casa payesa, a traditional cubeshapped house of Ibiza, white and cool, hosts the kids club. The children are also offered a small pool.
Spacious and bright, the rooms of the Farmissima Cala Blanca offer a harmonious decor - white walls hung with a few engravings and mirrors, flowers, a beige tiled floor and pine furniture. All rooms are equipped with a large balcony and a dryer, a desk, a sofa, satellite TV with 14 channels, a key safe (?1.90 or £1.5 a day plus ?12 or £9.5 deposit), individual air-conditioning, a direct telephone line and a refrigerator containing two bottles of water on your arrival. The bathroom is fully furnished and very clean, and has a bathtub equipped with two handles and a flexible shower, a bidet, a toilet and some complimentary products. But there is no hair dryer.
With a capacity of 750 guests inside and 200 on the patio, the restaurant of the Framissima Cala Blanca offers delicious local and international cuisine and complimentary drinks - there are local wines (red, rosé, white) draft beer and sodas. Meals are served from 8.00am to 10.15am for breakfast, from 1.00pm to 2.30pm lunch and from 7.30pm to 9.30pm for dinner. The setting is very pleasant, with a vaulted brick ceilling and wooden furniture. On Wednesdays, you will be offered Spanish specialities. On the canopied patio, you will enjoy a great view of the sea: this is a real delight during breakfast to start the day in a nice way! You can order picnics, the day before, from the restaurant. You can have delicious cocktails at the reception bar from 9.00am to 12.30am, at the pool bar from 11.00am to 8.00pm, and at the disco bar until 2.00am.
The beach of the Framissima Cala Blanca is accessed through some steps. The beach of Es Figueral, common to the Cala Verde and the Cara Blanca, is quite large and offers fine sand and very clear water. The north wind blows quite often on this stunning wild creek surrounded by wooded mountains, pine trees and cliffs. The equipment can be rented (?4 or £3 a day per item and about ?8 or £6 for a deckchair and a sunshade). A rocky hill is the departure point for the ship which goes to the Island of Formentera.
