Well locatedThe Dreams Vacation, although a separate hotel in its own right, is really just an extension of its larger sister hotel, the Dreams Beach Resort. Yes, it has its own restaurant, but the food is the same. It also has in common its animation team, kids club and health club. The Vacation is also similar in that it is suitable for families and for groups of friends, but less so for couples looking for peace and quiet and intimacy.
The Dreams Vacation is situated in the centre of Hadaba's coastline together with a handful of other hotels, including, next door, its sister property Dreams Beach Resort. It is around a twenty minute drive from the airport while the neighbouring zone of Naama Bay is just five minutes' drive away.
The Dreams Vacation is the smaller sister of the Dreams Beach Resort right next door. The hotels share their beach as well as the health club, located at the Vacation, although there are plans for a health club to be built at the Beach Resort in the near future. The animation team, which consists of sixteen English-speaking members, is also split between the two properties and the kids club, located at the Beach Resort, is also shared.
Standard rooms are decorated fairly ordinarily with cheap looking light wood furniture featuring a green motive, a picture on the warm red coloured wall and a small vase of flowers being the only efforts to liven the space up. There is a table and chairs and of course a terrace or balcony, but none which give on to the Red Sea. Television, safe and fridge all come as standard in the room. The bathrooms, which are in need of a little attention, have toiletries and hairdryer and are equipped with a bathtub. For extra space go for one of the suites, which have an extra room for children, although in the case of the regular suite, this means no living room as this is where the kids beds are to be found (a rather cramped arrangement with a sofa and other furniture in the room). Bathrooms are very similar to those found in the standard rooms.
The hotel's entrance hall is split into two with one half given over to the reception area and the other to the super kitsch lobby bar. The former has a cluster of comfortable seating hugging the central column with Daliesque surrealist paintings adorning the wall. Just off of the main lobby is a stretch of corridor home to several little boutiques (jewellery, souvenirs etc). The whole area is given a calm atmosphere by the classical music diffused throughout. The hotel has four swimming pools: one main, blob-shaped one, a deep diving pool, another regular pool with spiral slide and a kids pool, also with a slide. The main pool is free of surrounding buildings meaning the sun shines down on the pool for most of the day. All four pools have plenty of space around them meaning the loungers are not on top of one another. Just next to the main pool you'll find cabanas to fall asleep on as well as the massage tent. The health club, accessed down a pretty grim path, is shared with the hotel's sister property the Dreams Beach Resort. The gym is fairly well equipped while the rest of the modest health club features a standalone jacuzzi, sauna, nicely tiled steam room and four double massage rooms. The sixteen members of the animation team have full programmes for daily activities (stretching, sports, dancing), music (chill out tunes, dancing, sun set beats), the kids (painting, games, mini disco) and night time shows (variety, oriental, traditional Egyptian). During the day there will always be one of the team taking care of the little ones at the Children Paradise Kids Club. Being a smaller property than the Beach Resort the sports facilities are limited to volley ball and pool. The hotel has a cash machine and offers wifi and PC for surfing the Internet at the rate of 60EGP for one hour. The hotel as a whole is kept to a fairly decent standard, although the accommodation buildings themselves, aside from the rooms, need modernising.
The beach, which is right behind the hotel, is shared with the Dreams Beach Resort, but can only be accessed via the Beach Resort. The entire length of the beach is over 1,300ft but this is not continuous. It is broken up into several parts by the rocks and there are also several levels to the beach meaning more intimacy and much more space, although it does take away from the beauty of it somewhat. Due to the formation of the beach, direct access into the water is quite tricky and not advised; better to use the pontoons (there are three of them) and head straight into deep waters past the reef where the snorkelling is great.
