Hotel Falcon Al Diar

11 miles away from the airport and three miles from the old town of Sharm el Sheikh, the Falcon Al Diar occupies an area near the tourist resort of Naama Bay boasting numerous restaurants and shops. The surrounding area consists of a motorway and a giant construction site, which is constantly under development.

The hotel guests are mostly Swiss and Italian.
The beach is situated about five minutes away on foot.

Built in 1992, the Falcon Al Diar is one of the oldest hotels in Sharm El Sheikh. It is an 'urban' facility located more than five minutes away from the sea on foot. It exudes charm with its small building rising in a square courtyard with walls covered with brightly coloured bougainvilleas. On the roof, an inviting terrace accommodates guests for a mint tea with soft cushioned seating.

Designed with great simplicity, all 44 rooms are standard, with small balconies. They are equipped with individually controlled air conditioning, television (five channels), a telephone line and a minibar. In some rooms there is also a sofa. The bathroom, with a shower and a hairdryer, is almost entirely tiled in beautiful ceramics. A common safe is available for customers at the reception.

For each meal of the day, the main restaurant offers delicious international cuisine. Another restaurant serves fish specialties and Italian cuisine, 24/24. A snack bar offers the same dishes only this time on the beach, however it lacks a bit of style, unlike the rest of the hotel. The only bar, located in the lobby, is open 24/24.

The hotel's private beach is disappointing. It is quite remote (five minutes on foot) and small. Deckchairs and parasols are arranged on a hard ground covered with coarse sand. Showers are installed on the beach. A host of water sports are on offer.
