Hotel Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh

Located in Garden Bay, three miles to the west of Naama Bay, the hotel is seven and a hald miles from Sharm el Sheikh airport.

The hotel has a kid's club, which is particularly pleasant. Open from 9am to 1pm and from 3pm to 9pm, they cater for children from from to 12 years. The latter can also benefit from a swimming pool. For the youngest guests, a baby-sitting service is available (for over two years). Four rooms are accessible via wheelchair. Our advice about accommodation: the rooms whose numbers start with number 1, are at the bottom right of the complex near the beach. They are fairly quiet and have an incredible view of the gardens and of the Red Sea.

The Hyatt Regency opened in 2000. Its 439 rooms are housed in white buildings on an area of 86 acres which gives a sensation of having plent of space. The lobby of the hotel, with its many bay-windows, allows a panoramic view of the Red Sea. Outside, the setting is enchanting with its incredible flowery gardens and, in the middle of the vegetation, one of the swimming pools has the shape of a river. A very long water slide passes through the middle of a park. Numerous pools, including a heated one, give the entire setting a fresh feel. In all, they form 26,900ft² of water that runs through the entire hotel. Among the many pools, one is specially reserved for people seeking serenity (children are prohibited). Beside the swimming pools, deckchairs and sunshades are placed to ensure the comfort of the customers.

The rooms, each with an area of 408 feet², are quite large and tastefully decorated. The furniture is made of light wood and the materials used are in shades of green. The room, well organised, feels spacious, and has a vanity for madam. Each room has a balcony or a terrace with a deckchair, two armchairs and a wrought iron table, a bathroom with bathtub, a shower and separate toilets, a hairdryer, a direct telephone line for international calls, a safe (free), individually controlled air-conditioning, a fan, satellite television (35 channels), internet access and a fax machine.

The main restaurant can accommodate up to 430 people. The restaurant is in an idyllic setting with a large waterfall in the middle of the buffet and a large bay-window overlooking Garden Bay. On a half board basis, the restaurant has an extensive buffet and is beautifully decorated. Each evening , the buffet has a different theme: Oriental, Italian, French... In order to vary the pleasures, five restaurants serving on an à la carte basis welcome guests at lunchtime or for dinner. We recommend a visit to the Thai restaurant. Recognised as one of the best places to eat in Sharm el Sheikh, you will enjoy a dinner of high quality prepared right before you in an exotic ambiance. Beside the swimming pools, a seafood restaurant is available to guests for lunch.

The beach spreads out at the foot of the hotel. Equipped with well-placed deckchairs and woven cloth sunshades, it hosts a centre for water sports and diving. However, water sports activities are prohibited on site because the beach is located in a protected area. It is not possible either to go directly to swim from the beach because of the coral reef. There is a pontoon which allows you to appreciate the splendour of the submarine world upto a depth of approximately 33ft. A restaurant is perched on the edge of the water, very pleasant and equipped with air conditioning.
