Hotel Park

Downtown, on a road parallel to the Lido ( seaside promenade ). Valetta is located 3 miles away ( a 15 minute trip ) and the airport 5 miles away ( a 25 minute trip ).

The Park Hotel offers very good services in its category. Its facilities ( indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, fitness room ) make it delightful all year long. Furthermore, its service is attentive. On the other hand, as the hotel is not located in front of the sea, it does not offer a panoramic bay view.

Built in 1989 and renovated in 2002, the Park Hotel distinguishes itself with an original interior design : its ochre-coloured lobby is brightened up by columns and round vaults. This decoration is found in the room that houses the indoor swimming pool ( with jacuzzi ). A superior fitness room completes the facilities. If you want to tan, go up on the roof : there, a solarium has been set up around a 50 m² swimming pool. The setting is pleasant, but we regret that the sea view is partially obstructed by the nearby buildings.

The 152 rooms are comfortable and furnished with refinement with clear wooden furniture. The decoration varies depending on the room : it can be in assorted blue, green or red tones. A big baywindow opens on a balcony which unfortunately doesn't face the sea, but blind walls. As for the amenities, all the rooms are air-conditioned and they have a bathroom with hair dryer, a telephone and television.

Set up for all 3 meals, the buffets are pleasant for the eye as well as for the mouth. In a welcoming room ( with rattan furniture ), we find, very pleasantly presented, pasta gratins, vegetable gratins, sausages, chips and various meat with sauces. Enough to satisfy all appetites ! An a la carte restaurant also allows you to have dinner in a more sophisticated setting ( tables with white tablecloths, padded armchairs ). A good choice of wines pleasantly completes the Maltese and international specialities offered on the menu.
