Downtown, 300 m away from the seafront. Valetta is located 3 miles away ( a 15 minute trip by bus or ferry boat ) and the airport 5 miles away ( a 25 minute trip ).

This hotel might not necessarily be chosen for its location, but for its Victorian atmosphere, which is both quiet and cosy. Those who love comfort will appreciate it. They will also like the service they get from fully trained hotel staff. Finally, be aware that its large lounges welcome painting exhibitions : a pleasant way to get to know local artists.

Forget the outside appearance of the hotel ( not very welcoming ) and instead, hurry inside. At first glance, the atmosphere seems to be cozy and Victorian, and this style is enhanced by comfortable lounges with leather furniture, panelled woodwork and heavy curtains. A recent building, since it only dates back to 1996, the hotel has a roof terrace that offers a swimming pool and jacuzzi. It's a nice place to hang out, while you are stretched out on a deckchair, surrounded by flower boxes. Whether you're at the pool bar or piano bar, the service is just as attentive and non-intrusive.

The 132 rooms are furnished and decorated with different colours, but you'll find the same taste for detail in all of them : the painting over the bed's headboard, small wall lights and flower bouquets on the night table. Unfortunately, the view from the rooms is that of the neighbouring buildings, but the rooms are well-equipped : full bathroom with telephone, air conditioning, safe, mini-bar, direct telephone and satellite television.

The main restaurant offers à la carte and buffet service. Its dining room is meticulously decorated, in a way that is not overdone. As you sit, they parade local and international specialities, which are very well presented. As for the buffet, it's quite a pleasure to lift the copper lids up to discover what's hiding under them ! A wise choice of wines, exactly when you need it, turns your meal into a pleasant experience.
