Downtown, 200 m away from the seafront. Valetta is located 3 miles away ( a 15 minute trip by bus or ferry boat ) and the airport 5 miles away ( a 25 minute trip ).

The Windsor should be chosen for the high quality of its lodging and catering service. Its all-inclusive package ( which includes drinks, in addition to meals ) allows you to keep track of your budget from the start. But avoid this hotel if you just want to do nothing but lazing about : The Windsor does not have a sea view, and the Slierna Bay has no sandy beaches ( on the other hand, it has a public rocky terrace from where you can get down to the water using a ladder ).

The Windsor's façade holds no particular appeal, but you can quickly go inside and discover all its charm. It was built in 1995 and has regularly undergone renovations since. The spacious lobby combines marble and varnished wood : you will love to linger in its small blue rooms. Two swimming pools, one inside, the other outside, are available. A solarium with sunshades and deckchairs surrounds the outdoor pool, but unfortunately it has only a view of the nearby buildings. Sports enthusiasts will certainly want to try the equipment in the gym room, which is freely accessible.

The 94 rooms are large,bright and very nicely furnished with light-coloured wooden furniture. They are air-conditioned and have a lounge area, bathroom with hairdryer, mini-bar, direct telephone and satellite television. On the other hand, don't expect too much from the little balcony : it does not have a view of the sea, only of nearby buildings.

The main restaurant offers a somewhat opulent British kind of atmosphere that lovers of the kind will like ( thick carpeting, heavy orange and green curtains ). The all-inclusive package covers not only all 3 meals, but also drinks : water, sodas and local alcohol drinks. If you want to go on an excursion, the hotel will prepare a small picnic lunch. A good variety of cuisine is offered ( service at your table ) full of sunny flavours : pasta, grillings, fish and meats with sauce ( often with a tomato and eggplant base ).
