On the road to Mellieha, overhanging Saint Paul's Bay. Allow about 35 min to go to Valetta ( 9.32 miles ) and 45 min to the airport ( 12 miles ).

An activities programme, from sport contests to shows, is organised daily by the village's activities team ( 50 counselors ). In summer, the activities take place in the amphitheatre and by the swimming pool, whereas in winter they are in the sports centre and the lounge bar. Be also aware that the closest "beach" is 1.2 mile away. But we prefer the Golden Bay or Melliha Bay beaches, both located 3.7 miles away from the club.

Built in 1978 in a 3.7-hectare park, the Mistra Village is the only real club hotel in Malta. This location, idea for a family stay, is composed of 24 little 2-storey Maltese houses, all built with the country's stone. They are spread out in beautiful gardens planted with bougainvilleas, oleanders, irises, in the middle of eucalyptus and cypress. The different blocks are served by little housecars that drive through the alleys. At the entrance of the village, the Clubhouse houses the reception, the restaurants, bars, the supermarket and shop. Behind is a little swimming pool ( 100 m² ) and on a large esplanade is a 200 m² waterfall pool witih a kids pool. For sports lovers, the Club has a large sports centre available, built a little away from the village. You can use the ( 70 m² ) indoor pool and the fitness room as well as do various activities such as tennis, squash or volleyball.

The Mistra Club's 235 apartments are very specious and well maintained ( the housekeeping is done every day except on Sundays ). They are tiled and tastefully decorated ( painted wood furniture, Maltese paintings, coloured fabrics, apparent stones ). The main room is made up of an entranceway, a nice lounge area ( cable television and direct telephone line ) and a kitchenette. The latter is perfectly equipped : refrigerator, hotplates, extractor hood, coffee machine, closet, tea towels... The apartments have one or two rooms ( 4 or 8 persons maximum ). The additional sleeping accommodations are sofa-beds. The bathroom has a bathtub and a hair dryer. Don't bother bringing beach towels : the Club make them available for you. Finally, a little empty room is reserved to store your luggage. Be aware that some apartments in the blocks 12 to 16 have a sea view. Ask for blocks 22 to 24 for a countryside and castle view.

If you don't want to prepare your own meals, you can always eat in one of the village's 6 restaurants. The main restaurant is open for breakfast ( buffet ), dinner and Sunday brunch ( menu and buffets ). Do you want some Italian food ? Go to the Papa Peppino's, a pizzeria open every evening in summer. In winter, lunch is served at the main bar. In summer, you can have a snack meal by the pool for lunch. Grillings, salads, fish and chicken are served there. There is a special children's menu. The Veduta Restaurant is the spot that the club opens for its Pasta Parties and other culinary festivities. Finally, all day long in summer, you can order an ice cream or a small meal from the village ice cream maker.
