Hotel Arenella Resort

The Arenella is located 6 miles south of Syracuse, 47 miles away from Catane airport. It was built partially on a natural protected area. The hotel is far from any village. It overlooks a small cove and the sea.

The Arenella Resort is partially built on a protected natural area, and the hotel is integrated into the surroundings and respects them. The construction and decor utilize materials from the area. You will not see big buildings but small ochre villas.

The Arenella Resort belongs to a large complex built on 178 acres, among which 17 are ranked as a natural reserve. A total of 460 rooms welcomes clients but the Arenella offers 242 rooms, spread out in small villas. This hotel was built in 2004, that is why some of the trees are still small and some of the facilities are not finished yet. For each work or modification, you need an official authorisation. 2 pools are fitted out. One where the animations take place and the other one, more peaceful, where there is no music or animations, close to the reception. The matter offers a covered space. There is a bar at the reception with a sundeck and a snack-bar by the animated pool.

The 242 rooms are housed in several one-level villas built in a Sicilian style with materials from the area. Everything is perfectly integrated into the surrounding areas. All the rooms have TV, telephone, air-conditioning, refrigerator and safe. The rooms are spacious and bright. The decor is simple, but a more modern note is brought by the designer lamps. The light-coloured wooden and wicker furniture is not really original, but pleasant. A few pictures brighten up the walls. A sundeck is fitted out with a dryer, chairs and a table. Good to know that double, triple and quadruple rooms are offered. The bathrooms have a brown tiled floor, a hair-dryer, welcome products and a large shower.

All three meals are served in the main restaurant buffet-style - copious and varied. A Mediterranean and international cuisine is served here. The restaurant is composed of a nice room with ochre tiled floor and picture windows. Good to know, the room is divided into three parts: a shaded sundeck, an air-conditioned part and a covered part with picture windows without air-conditioning. Two evenings are organised: one Sicilian evening and a gala evening, every Friday.

The hotel is located on a rocky coast. 2 beaches are available, a rocky cove and a sandy beach, connected to the hotel by a small electric train in high season. 1,600 feet away, the turquoise water is fitted out with 7 wooden piers, where you can find deckchairs and sunshades.
