Well locatedThe Basel is a very nice city hotel. The welcome here is warm, and you will feel like at home. Ideal place for families or couples, the Basel is a peaceful location where you can relax.
This hotel review is a translation from the French published on our French site Easyvoyage.com.
The Basel is a little in retreat from the seafront. It is located on Hayarkon Avenue. All you have to do to get to the beach is to go across this avenue. Downtown Tel Aviv is not too far, 5 minutes walking. The international airport is 30 minutes away by car.
The hotel was renovated in 2005.
Built about 30 years ago and renovated in 2005, the Basel is a nice hotel. Less imposing than other hotels, this is a very welcoming city hotel. Its lobby is decorated in a very modern manner. Parquet floors, old French advertising posters on the walls, plants and modern furniture and carpet create a warm atmosphere. The lobby bar opens on a small garden where you can find the swimming pool (open from April to September). A wooden terrace fitted out with wrought iron tables allows you to enjoy the sun.
The 120 rooms, in beige tones, decorated without anything artificial, offer modern facilities. Each room has a TV, telephone, a refrigerator, a safe, facilities for tea and coffee , WiFi and air-conditioning. There is a desk corner. 2 rooms are designed for people with reduced mobility. The bathroom is really small, almost no space is available for personal things. Here you will also find a bathtub and a hair-dryer.
There is a restaurant in the basement. Negative point, there are no windows here. The dining-room is spacious but dim. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet-style.
