Hotel Flamingo - Torremolinos

The Flamingo hotel is located in the heart Torremolinos town centre, on Isabel avenue, facing a billiard club. It is located 5 minutes away on foot from Costa del Sol and from shopping centres, restaurants and animated bars (in summer time), 2 minutes away from the Tourist Office and from train and bus stations, and 15 minutes from the Pueblo Blanco district that looks like a small Andalousian village in the heart of the town. Allow around 15 minutes on foot to get to Bajondillo beach (the closest), located 1 mile away, and twenty minutes by car to get to the Malaga airport (5 miles).

The hotel is located on a hectic avenue in Torremolinos town centre, a few steps from bars and restaurants, video games stores or different billiards.
It is recommended for parties and nightlife...less recommended for tranquility. The comfort is sometimes Spartan, but you will find a good ambiance in the establishment. It offers an animation team composed of four people that offer different activities (games, competitions...) and evening shows.
The best advantage of the hotel: the "all inclusive" formula.

Built in the early 1970s, renovated in 2001, the Flamingo is made of a large charmless 8-storey building, located on Isabel avenue, a very lively street due to numerous shopping centres and crowded traffic. The ambiance there is very jolly and several activities are offered, you will not get bored. The small reception, close to the bar decorated retro, like in the 70s but nevertheless comfortable, opens on a large games room (darts, billiard, video games...) and a snack-bar close to the dancing floor overlooking the pool. Alas, the patio is a little too narrow comparing to the number of rooms, but equipped with four showers, plastic tables and chairs and a few beach chairs.

The 243 rooms of the Flamingo are spacious (215 feet²), bright and very clean. The decoration is standard: laminated wood furniture on hardwood floor, a painting hung on the beige walls. All have air-conditioning (individual), satellite TV, a large cupboard with large mirror, a safe (paying), a bathroom with bathtub, a patio fitted out with a table and two beach chairs. View of the street or the nearby buildings. From the upper floors, you can see the sea. Two small bath soaps represent the welcome products.

The restaurant is standard and can welcome up to 262 quests. It is large and rectangular. The tables are quite squeezed and in high season, it is pretty difficult to eat in a quiet atmosphere. The buffet offers a local and international cuisine, buffet style for breakfast and dinner. The food is of good quality, it doesn't offer however, anything special, so you might get tired of it. For breakfast, the clients can eat at the snack-bar close to the pool. Fortunatley, the town centre has small cheap restaurants - a good alternative.

Located 1 mile away, the closest beach of the hotel is Bajondillo beach. Very crowded in summer time, it offers beach chairs (for rent, abour 15 euros a day, 12 pounds), sunshades and has a boat club. Huge, they stretch on several miles and offer a large 330-feet strip of sand. The sand is grey, not very fine, like all the beaches of Costa del Sol. A few stones scatter the sand, but you can walk without beach sandals.
