NatureThis complex of bungalows, situated in a park near a river is the ideal place for resting in the shade with the water nearby, but also to visit Trinidad and its region, in particular the Tope de Collantes site in Sierra Escambray. Relaxing!
This hotel review is a translation of the French version published on our French site Easyvoyage.com.
The Finca Maria Dolores bungalow complex is 2 miles from Trinidad going towards Cienfuegos. The bungalows are far from the sea (about 12 miles away) but a small river flows near the park.
The Escambray massif is 6 miles from the site. For those looking for cool and high places, its very pleasant and the view is magnificent. The luxurious nature (bambous, coffee trees, eucalyptus trees etc.) for lovely walks.
This complex has 25 bungalows scattered in a garden for a relaxing and refreshing holiday. This site doesn't have many facilities but it is very friendly and comfortable. The owners wanted to create a ranch atmosphere so the decor is in that style. Many activities are offered, horse or boat rides. The boat ride on the river can extend to the sea to watch the sunset.
The 25 bungalows, modestly decorated, have a large surface area. They all have 2 double beds, tables, chairs, a small kitchen with 2 hot plates, a fridge, a sink but there isn't much crockery. All of the bungalows have a terrace. They have telephone, television, air conditioning and a bathroom with bath.
Only one restaurant, in a large straw hut, welcomes the guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner. An à la carte meal is served as well as Creole specialties. There is a stage in the straw hut for Cuban musicians to play in the high season. There's a "country fete" on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings with country music and dancing.
