The chain of Aravalli Mountains

At the centre, the chain of the Aravalli Mountains divide the State diagonally into two, linking the north-east to the south-west. Their modest altitude is enough to block monsoon rains at one end and sand winds from the Thar desert at the other end. The highest part is in the south, between Udaipur and Mount Abu where the Guru Shikhar Mountain measures 5,648 feet. The site gives a wonderful and magic view at sunset.
