At Chennai, the Government Museum in the Egmore neighbourhood contains collections of ethnological, archeological and bronze objects, and miniature paintings set in four buildings. The National Art Gallery houses miniatures, glass paintings and bronze statues of divinities. In the north-west of the city, dive into the relics of the colonial British India and admire the weapons, military costumes and manuscripts collected at the Fort Museum.
