The Pinjore Moghol Gardens

Those who love appointed greenhouses should rush to the Pinjore gardens 13 miles norttheast of Chandigarh. These Moghol gardens of the 17th century, at the foot of the first Himalayan chain of foothills, stretch out over seven terraces with several pools and fountain jets dotted with pavilions and kiosks. A the first terraces you find the harem surrounded by foliage, and the Shish Mahal "greenhouse".
