Situated in the south of the island, around the international airport, the sites of Kuta (and Legian) to the north and Jimbaran to the south, home to a high concentration of hotels. Jimbaran, which is facing a large bay, owns hotels rather "high-end" and is known for its many seafood restaurants laid directly on the beach. Kuta, a popular and busy place (perhaps too much), is on the verge of a long beach frequented by many surfers. It includes all styles of hotels and offers especially the best opportunities for nightlife and shopping (especially "international" products). Legian, just to the north of Kuta, enjoys the same animation as the latter, but it provides a scenery and a calmer coastline. Finally, Tanah Lot, further to the west, is a site not to miss, especially for its water-floated temple where we just admire the sunset.
