Qom Qom, Iran Qom is one of the main places of pilgrimage in Iran; it is here where the tomb of Fatimah, the sister of Imam Reza, is located. The religious buildings found here are incredibly beautiful. P.de Franqueville

93 miles south of the capital, you arrive at the holy city of Qom. Non-Muslims are not allowed to visit the key monuments. However, a stroll around the streets of the town centre is nevertheless very interesting due to its strongly religious atmosphere and history.
