Persian carpets, fabrics, musical instruments and marquetry objects, copper-made plates and chandeliers are among the crafts of the country. Visit the bazaars! They offer a wide range of products but remember to haggle! If you are tempted to export carpets or antiques, know that it is strictly controlled. A real sales certificate must be obtained.
To avoid problems, buy articles in shops that have an export licence. If you wish, they can ship them for you. Controls of caviar are less strict. Shops open from Saturday to Thursday inclusive. In general, they close during lunch and reopen until 8:00 pm.
