At Tehran, the Melli Bank protects the Crown Jewels in a vault. Do not miss it for any reason whatsoever! You will discover the most famous of these jewels: the Daria-e Noor, a 182 carat diamond brought back from Delhi in the 18th century. Amongst the other jewels, a geographical globe carrying 51,000 precious stones and the Pahlavi crown stands out. Produced in 1924, this crown contains over 3,000 diamonds, emeralds and sapphires.
