Bagdad

Baghdad stretches over the two banks of the Tigris. The most interesting sites are on the west bank of the river. There is the first university in the world with its 13th century architecture, the Ramadan and Kadhimain mosques , the Islamic Museum, the Abbasside Palace and several souks. On the east bank is the Mesopotamian Ancient History Museum with its excellent view of all the cultures that have passed through the country.
