A small well-kept medieval town, Kilkenny is a ?must see', if only for its castle and Saint-Canice Cathedral. The castle, which was built in the 12th century has been enlarged and restored, and it is sublime. The cathedral, which dates from the 13th century is one of the best preserved in the country.
