Tel-Aviv's marina is a major Israeli site for water sports (sailing, windsurfing and diving, etc). Netanya (18 miles north of Tel-Aviv), with miles of fine sand beach, is also one of the major seaside resorts on the Mediterranean coast. The southern coast and the Philistine ports, rich in archeological sites, stretch to the south of Tel-Aviv.
