The itinerary which runs from the Mount of Olives to the Holy Sepulchre depicts the last moments of Christ on earth. The Mount of Olives hosts the oldest and largest Jewish graveyard in the world where several sanctuaries have been erected (see the Pater Noster cloister and the Ascension church). There is also the Garden of Gethsemane where Christ was arrested, the Basilica of All Nations which houses the rock on which he spent his last moments before he was arrested, the cave of Gethsemane where Judas betrayed him, and finally, the Byzantine crypt which houses the tomb of the Virgin Mary.
