2,500 years of Jewish diasporan history, culture and religious institutions is recounted in the Jewish Diaspora Museum through films, documentaries, the Jewish musical centre and the genealogy centre. It is a real institution! Another major museum in Tel-Aviv is The Eretz Israel Museum, which is built on the archeological site of Tel Qasile. This museum, divided into theme houses, presents the cultural heritage of the Land ("Eretz) of Israel: archeological objects, reconstitutions, ethnography, science and technology, and handicraft. Then there is the Art museum of Tel-Aviv, this museum is home to an important collection of classical (16-19th century), modern (Chagall, Modigliani, Picasso) and contemporary paintings. Finally, the Helena-Rubinstein house proposes interesting exhibitions of contemporary art.
