 Climate and Seasons

The country enjoys a Mediterranean climate with a hot, dry, and even scorching summer in the valley of the Jordan river, on the banks of the Dead Sea, and in the Negev Desert (40°C and more), and a mild and wet winter (and even cooler in the mountains) with temperatures around 10-12°C. Rains fall between October and March. Spring (April/May) is the ideal season to travel here (with temperatures between 17°C and 30°C).
