A green valley of apple orchards, this is the image most often associated with Trentino-Alto Adige. Indeed, in the valleys of Non and Sole, apples are of the utmost importance. The most renowned varieties have even received a DOP label (Protected Designation of Origin). For those looking to eat a lot of fresh natural fruit, it won't be difficult to find cooperatives or farming associations where you can purchase not only apples but also cherries and plenty of berries, freshly picked in the region.
