The National Archaeological Museum in Naples holds one of the most interesting art collections in the world, with objects dating back to antiquity. In addition to the sculpture section and Ancient Egypt collection, there is a collection containing all the precious discoveries from Pompeii and Ercolano, including the Secret Cabinet, which contains erotic drawings, frescoes, and mosaics. In passing from the antique to the modern, do not miss out on the MADRE, the Donnaregina Contemporary Art Museum, in the palace of the same name. It contains works produced by artists of international renown who have worked for the city, including Long, Bianchi, Paolini, and Sol Lewitt.
