One of the main charms of Italy is undoubtedly its cuisine. Start with the antipasti, a varied appetizer made of seafood, marinated eggplants, artichokes and herrings in oil. Try the pasta, lasagna or the countless types of raviolis and continue with a dish of fish (swordfish, bream, mackerel) or meat (lamb, stuffed veal shoulder, grilled beef). If you want to taste pure pizza, order it with tomato and mozarella only. As for wine, honour not only the chianti and frascati, but also the salerno of Naples, the marsala of Sicily and the cannonau of Sardinia.
