One of the main charms of Sicily is undoubtedly its cuisine. Start with the antipasti, a varied appetiser made of seafood, marinated eggplants, artichokes and herrings in oil. Then try the pasta, lasagna or the countless types of raviolis. Continue with a plate of fish (swordfish, bream, mackerel) or meat (lamb, stuffed veal shoulder, grilled beef). If you want to taste pure pizza, order it only with tomato and mozarella. As for wine, do not forget to try the marsala.
