Travel is my driving force in life, and although I have had the privilege of visiting 30 countries so far, my heart will always remain in India...

To the south of Sardinia, the Barbagia displays spectacular mountains that drop in cliff faces to the foot of the Oliena. It is a region which is full of paths that climb up and weave around the vines and is definitely worth a visit. Go to Del Cedrino lake, for example, close to Dorgali village, before heading for the Orosei Gulf National Park. The road runs through forests of cork oaks and laurels. It is at the Genna Silana pass that you have the best views. On top of this, if you go to Cala Luna at the edge of the gulf you will find a complex of six impressive and fascinating caves.
