On the east coast of Sicily, do not miss out on Taormine. This magnificent town lies to the side of a cliff and houses many gardens overlooking the sea. One of the most beautiful is that of the Villa Communale. You must also pay a visit to the Greek theatre dating back to the 3rd century whose Gothic interior is adorned with paintings by Sicilian artists.
