Lined with long sandy beaches, interspersed with creeks, the south coast is good for seaside stays in an environment free from an abundance of hotels. As for excursions, do not fail to stop over at Sciacca, this small town lying next to the shores has kept its traditional charm. The calm waters of the port cradle the small boats painted with lively colours, while the streets of the town centre are where you can find a market bursting with action. The boulevard on the cliff top offers terrific views of the Mediterranean below; you are best off visiting it in the morning to enjoy the best atmosphere.
