Jamaicans are very nice despite their reputation of being aggressive. Do not worry, they will be the first to give you directions... And you'll need it because the signs are very bad indicated !!! (The roads are not as dangerous as it is claimed, these are roads in the countryside.) Get a detailed map of Jamaica upon arrival at the hotel (some have maps) or from your tour operator or at the reception. And if possible, take a guide : in this way you will be sure to visit the island in peace.More

Don't think that by going to Jamaica, you can buy and smoke cannabis in peace. You could be wrong ! The country is very strict about that and it is forbidden to smoke or possess cannabis. The police won't forgive it and especially to tourists ! Policemen will make you spend several hours or even days in prison ! So, beware! ... Even if it is sold freely at the Bob Marley Museum ! Avoid also parking just anywhere, pay close attention to signs. If you have parked wrongly, sheriffs do not hesitate to give you a fine and put a shoe on your tire until you pay. You cannot negotiate ... They are intransigent !More
