It is the largest park in Japan (1,430 miles). Located in the north of the country on the Hokkaido island (second largest island in Japan), the park is made up of mountainous massifs, volcanos, hotsprings, lakes and forests. It is the ultimate venue for skiing and excursion. For tourism, several villages in the park offer accommodation facilities.
