Nairobi has been the Kenyan capital since 1905. Standing 5,445 ft above sea level, it has a pleasant climate all year round. Though the town's architecture is nothing special, it compensates with its many open spaces, parks and gardens. Visit the Kenyatta Conference Centre, the Court House, the Parliament, Kenyatta mausoleum, the mosque of Jamia and a few colonial structures such as Pan African House or the McMillan Library. As the gastronomic and commercial capital, Nairobi offers enough cultural and nocturnal activities for you to enjoy, however, it is mostly a departure point for expeditions into the bush.
