The coral reefs can be seen by embarking on a boat excursion or doing a reef walk excursion - all you need is some snorkelling gear to get the most out of it! With such colourful and varied marine flora and fauna you should also think about having an underwater camera ready. You can also opt for a dolphin watching tour, (the locals claim a 90% chance of seeing one, and 40% chance of swimming with one) as well as short day trips to the Funzi and Wasini islands. The nearby Shimoni Island is a great starting point for marlin fishing enthusiasrs or for those heading to Kisite Island, a real diving paradise.
