Kuwaiti restaurants are a patchwork of the world's flavours, with mostly Indian cuisine. Local cuisine is that of the Middle East. You have 'foul' (puree of beans, garlic and lemon), falafels (spiced chickpea balls served on a plain round flat cake) and houmous (puree of chickpea, garlic, sesame and lemon). The main dishes are kebabs, chicken and stew. Restaurants do not serve wine or alcohol.
