Kuwait City is a mixture of high buildings, luxury hotels, large avenues and large, well-kept parks and gardens. The top floors of the three futuristic towers, symbolizing the country, offer a splendid panoramic view of the town and port. The National Museum, destroyed during the Gulf War, has not yet recovered its splendid collection of Islamic art (the largest collection in the world), the private Tarek Rajab Museum also has exquisite pieces and Sadu House exhibits beautiful Bedouin tapestry. The Grand Mosque, opposite the Emir's palace, with capacity for about 5,500 people, is worth visiting.
