Osh, former city crossed by the Silk Road, is the second largest town in Kyrgyzstan. Built on the seismic foothills of the Pamir mountains, the town is a famous trekking centre and departure point of great excursions to "the Roof of the World". To see: the Soliman rock, hill at the centre of the town, where the great phophet reportedly came to pray, and the big bazar, always very lively.
