The Mekong Forest Laotian Landscapes alternate to the rhythm of the Mekong River and tropical forests Martin Siepmann/ age fotostock
The vegetation is relatively well preserved, with precious tree species including teak, Asian rosewood, rosewood, banana, and silk-cotton tree. The most beautiful forests are in the country's southern provinces. The rest of the vegetation is composed of rice fields: wet rice on the banks of the Mekong, dry rice in the mountains.
