  • Cesis

Cesis is 47 miles north of Riga and it boasts an 18th century castle that has been transformed into Latvia's History Museum. You will also find a church from the same period and a number of famous breweries. The town was a decisive site in the struggle for independence against the Germans (1918-1920).
