Jurmala seaside resort is on the western shore, a few miles from the centre of Riga. It is easily accessible by tramway. A white sand beach skirted by beautiful villas takes you back to the chic thirties. Be careful though, do not swim in the sea as it is highly polluted. Dunes, forests and museums, galleries, restaurants and bars make it ideal for relaxation and entertainment.
